About Us

Dewasie Productions is a film production company that aims to bring a positive change and shape the lives of rural communities. Yes, no community is perfect or ideal. We all have our underlined problems, and it’s to believe that these problems rise from crime and all negative externalities issues like, alcohol and drug abuse, resulting in crimes like theft and low-degree murder. Personally, we feel that the problem is much deeper than that, which makes the challenge of turning lives around even more difficult.

The great challenge is to equip the youth with the necessary skills in film and media. As we believe that the root of the problem is that they have lost faith in their dreams, especially in rural communities. Where the only opportunity that knocks on your door are the ones you create yourself. It's sad to see them living as if "that is it" for them. That’s as far as they can go. So it’s either they don’t know how to dream or their completely forgot how to. Hopefully, the consequences of our actions could be the spark needed for them to start living again.

Knowing that currently, there are no forces to combat these problems. Dewasie Productions and talent embarks on a journey of going into rural communities and uses our passion for storytelling as a destructive weapon to minimize these crimes. Every project aims to identify problems, then create awareness and suggest possible solutions to that specific problem that is becoming of great concern.

And to already have participants involved on our team that has been in these positions and feeling obliged to prevent their younger siblings and nephews from falling in the same trap. Is really something special. And if there is any other that draws inspiration from these actions of them, it's only a bonus.
